November 15, 2014: It will take place on November 15 the official opening ceremony of the dam and the System of Water Supply of Canto da Cagarra, presided by the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, Dr. José Maria Neves. The ceremony shall begin at twelve, with the presence of several guests, associations, schools and local population. The official program of the Ministry of Rural Development provides several activities, among which, the visit presentation of the infrastructure, as well, the performance of the theater group of the Ribeira Alta and the Band Cordas do Sol. The Administration of Armando Cunha Cabo Verde, as leader of the Consortium, will be present for the official ceremonies of the first dam built in Santo Antão Island.
